Brand Identity background
Owner and brewing master Jeremy Myers has a particular expertise in traditional german style beers. Trauger is a celebration of simple, clean flavors done well. Given that, we wanted to pull from the clean simplicity of mid century modern design and support that with a little german and a little pennsylvania influence to truly represent all that came together to form trauger brewing company.
Establishing a trade dress
In order to keep things moving smoothly, we love an efficient label design system. There is a lot of competition in the beer fridges today. You’ll find a lot of color, a lot of illustration and mostly, a lot of noise. Not only did we want the overall design of the trauger brand to be simplistic in order to reflect the product but we thought it to be essential in order to compete on the shelf. The trade dress we decided on harkens back to the days before the craft beer boom and a beer was just a beer and one you could count on at that.
