The guys at lucky cat came to us with a lot of ideas. They loved good branding and they DEFINITELY wanted theirs to stand out in their own unique way. They had originally been using the image of a typical chinese waving lucky cat but we wanted to give them something more original to them. A cat that you could look at and think ‘lucky cat brand’ rather than the famous figurines in chinese RESTAURANTS. We paired this with several custom wordmarks as well as a custom font tailored to the branding package. all of their brand is now built around the entire concept of luck, superstition and of course, cats.

when we first approached the rebrand of lucky cat we knew the cat itself was going to play a big role. It is instantly an image you wont soon forget. So this is where we started. Bold, eye catching colors and a unique die cut shape quickly followed. the lucky cat team also wanted a little mystery so we developed some “lucky 13” icons to go with each style of beer to be DISPLAYED on top of each beer description.
